CANADA Bound - Day 7 takes us on a leisurely 157 mile cruise from northern New mexico to Colorado Springs, CO. We spent 2 nights in town at Goldfield RV Park on 26th St. This is a nice inexpensive Passport America facility with FHU, WiFi, Cable TV, and laundry. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the site was level. The bathrooms and showers were clean. It is situated about 15 minutes from Garden of the Gods and about 30 minutes from the entrance to Pikes Peak Hwy. One of my longtime fantasies was to drive to the top of Pikes Peak and this made Colorado Springs a destination for us on our way to Canada.
